The RG2080 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2001. Prior to 2001 this model was named the RG1280. It was made in Japan by Fujigen as part of the upscale Prestige line.
The RG2080 features a basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a bubinga skunk stripe with a 24-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with offset dot position markers. Components include a Lo-Pre Edge double locking tremolo with a locking nut, DiMarzio pickups with two humbuckers flanking a single-coil and Gotoh tuning machines
The RG2080 was available only in Japan. It was discontinued after 2002.
