The RG2077XL is a seven string RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2003. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the upscale Prestige line.
The RG2077XL features an extended 27" scale length neck. It has a basswood body with binding bolted to a maple and bubinga neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and offset abalone dot position markers. Components include DiMarzio pickups with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil, the new Edge Pro double locking tremolo bridge, and Gotoh tuning machines.
It replaced the RG1077XL which is very similar aside from the tremolo.
The RG2077XL was discontinued after just one year in production.
