The RG20064 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model offered by Ibanez in 2006. It is a limited edition Prestige model. The guitar has a distinctive jigsaw puzzle top with the puzzle pieces alternately of quilted and flamed maple which are vacuum formed to the body.
The RG20064 features a mahogany body with the aforementioned jigsaw top bolted to a maple and walnut Wizard Prestige neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with small dot position markers. Components include dual DiMarzio/ Ibanez humbucking pickups, an Edge Pro double locking tremolo bridge, a locking nut and Gotoh tuning machines.
The RG20064 was sold worldwide except in the US market. The RG20062 is a very similar model with more of an reddish finish which was in the USA. The RG20063 is another similar model with a maple and ovangkol top which was introduced alongside the RG20062 and offered worldwide. The RG20062 and RG20063 were introduced at the 2006 NAMM show,[1] while the RG20064 came out a bit later. These models are referred to as the "Puzzle Guitars".
