The RG198QM is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1999. It replaced the similar RG192B, which had a flamed maple top.

The RG198QM features a basswood (later agathis) body with a bound quilted maple top bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include a synchronized tremolo bridge and Ibanez pickups in an HSH configuration.

The RG185G is a similar model with gold hardware and a pickguard and without the quilted maple top.

The RG198QM was available only in Japan and was discontinued after 2000.
