The RG1680 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1999. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the upscale J Custom line. It replaced the RG1608.

The RG1680 features a mahogany body with a flamed maple top bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with offset dot position markers. Components include DiMarzio pickups with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil, a Lo-Pro Edge double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut and Gotoh tuning machines.

The RG1680 was discontinued after 2000.
