The RG1622 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1997. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the high end J Custom range. It was a spot model which never appeared in a catalog.

The RG1622 features a mahogany body with a 7mm thick AAA flamed maple top bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with offset dot position inlays. Components include dual DiMarzio humbucking pickups, a Lo-Pro Edge double locking tremolo bridge, a locking nut and Gotoh tuning machines.

The KRG1602 is a similar model with a mahogany body & flamed maple top and different pickups.

The RG1622 was discontinued after just one year in production.
