The RG160B is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2000. It was produced in Korea by Cort.
The RG160B is unusual among RG models in that it has an HSS pickup configuration with a humbucking pickup at the bridge and single-coils in the neck and middle positions. It also has a traditional square heel neck joint with a metal plate rather than the more typical all-access neck joint and a synchronized tremolo instead of the double locking tremolo usually associated with RG guitars.
The RG160B features an agathis body bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components include a synchronized tremolo bridge and Ibanez Powersound pickups.
The RG170 is a related model with a humbucker in the neck position (HSH configuration), a maple fretboard and chrome hardware.
