The RG1608 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1997. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the high-end J Custom line.
The RG1608 features a mahogany body with a flamed maple top bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with offset dot position markers. Components include DiMarzio pickups with two humbuckers flanking a single-coil, a locking nut, a Lo Pro Edge double locking tremolo bridge and Gotoh tuning machines.
The KRG1602 is a similar model without the middle pickup. The RG1708 is a similar model with a thinner top and different pickups
