The RG1570Z is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2010. It is made in Japan as part of the Prestige line. In the USA, the RG1570Z is sometimes still referred to as the RG1570, as the Z suffix is ignored in some promotional material.
The RG1570Z replaced the RG1570 which was similar but had an Edge Pro bridge. It is the latest in the line of successors of the classic RG570 model first introduced in 1989.
The RG1570Z features a basswood body bolted to a maple and walnut Wizard HP Prestige neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with small dot position markers. Components include the newly designed Edge Zero tremolo with zero-point system, direct-mounted Ibanez Vintage pickups, a locking nut and Gotoh tuning machines.
The RG1670MZ is a similar model with a maple fretboard.
The RG1570Z was discontinued after 2013 with no direct replacement.
