The RG1550GX is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2003. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as a limited edition model in the Prestige line.
The RG1550GX features a basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a matching headstock and a 24-fret rosewood fretboard with dot position markers. It has dual Ibanez Vintage humbucking pickups flanking and Ibanez single-coil which are mounted in a white pearloid pickguard. Other components include an Edge Pro double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut and Gotoh tuning machines.
The RG1550 is a similar model with powder cosmo hardware, a black pickguard and a maple fretboard. The RG1550FM is another related model with a mahogany body with a flamed maple top, a black pickguard and a maple fretboard.
