The RG1527MZ is a seven-string RG series Prestige solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez] for 2010. It was produced in Japan. This model replaced the RG1527M, however it was still referred to in places as the RG1527M, as the Z suffix is ignored for some models in promotional material.

The RG1527MZ features a basswood body bolted to a maple and wenge Wizard-7 neck with a 24-fret maple fingerboard with black dot position markers. Components include an Edge Zero 7 double locking tremolo bridge with a removable ZPS3 tuning stabilizer, a pair of Ibanez Vintage humbucking pickups and Gotoh tuning machines.

The RG1527MZ was discontinued after 2011
