The Ibanez RG1527 is a 7-string RG series Prestige guitar model introduced in 2003. Features include two humbucking pickups and an Edge Pro 7 tremolo. It is the successor of the RG7620 and it has been the only 7-string Prestige widely available since 2004.

In 2009 a variant with a maple fingerboard was released as the RG1527M. In Japan a hard-tail version of this guitar was released as the RG15271.
