The RG1270K is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in late 2022. It was made in Indonesia as part of the mid-tier Premium line.
The RG1270K was created exclusively for Shimamura Musical Instruments in Japan and although it was produced in early 2021, it was first displayed at the "Fukuoka Guitar Show" in October , 2022. Only a single example was produced.
The RG1270K features a koa top with cream binding and a natural low gloss finish on an American basswood body bolted to an eleven piece maple, walnut and bubinga Wizard neck with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl and abalone split block position markers. Components include DiMarzio pickups with Air Norton and Tone Zone humbuckers with black and white reverse zebra bobbins mounted directly to the body flanking a True Velvet single-coil with a black cover, an Edge double locking tremolo bridge and Gotoh tuning machines.
The RG1270FM is a related model with a flame maple top.
