The RG1270FM is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in late 2022. It was made in Indonesia as part of the mid-tier Premium line.
The RG1270FM was created exclusively for Shimamura Musical Instruments in Japan. Despite the fact it was produced in early 2021, it was not displayed until the Fukuoka Guitar Show in October, 2022.
The RG1270FM features a flamed maple top with cream binding on an American basswood body bolted to an eleven piece maple, walnut and bubinga Wizard neck with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl and abalone split block position markers. Components include DiMarzio pickups with Air Norton and Tone Zone humbuckers with black and white reverse zebra bobbins mounted directly to the body flanking a True Velvet single-coil with a black cover, an Edge double locking tremolo bridge and Gotoh tuning machines.
