RG1070PBZ Cerulean Blue Burst (more images)

The RG1070PBZ is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2017. It was made in Indonesia as part of the mid-tier Premium line.

The RG1070PBZ features an American basswood body with a 7mm thick poplar burl top bolted to an eleven piece wenge, bubinga, maple and purpleheart Wizard neck with a 24 stainless steel fret wenge fingerboard with offset pearloid dot position markers and luminescent side dots. The pickups are from DiMarzio with two humbuckers flanking a single-coil and are mounted directly to the body. Other components include an Edge Zero II double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut and locking Gotoh tuning machines.

For 2018 the neck was replaced with a new eleven piece panga panga, maple, walnut and purpleheart construction and the wenge fretboard was replaced with panga panga. For 2019 new Brown Topaz Burst and Green Tropical Burst finishes were added.

The RG1027PBF is a visually similar hard-tail seven string model. The RG1070FM is a related model with a flame maple top and an original Edge tremolo. The S1070PBZ is a visually similar S series model.

The PG1070PBZ was discontinued after 2019.
