The RG-METAL1 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model offered by Ibanez in 1997. They were produced in Japan by FujiGen as part of the upscale J Custom line.

The most striking feature of the RG-METAL1 is its aluminum plated body and brass/chrome pickguard and truss rod cover. Under the plating it has a basswood body bolted to a maple Wizard neck with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard with offset abalone dot position markers. Components include DiMarzio pickups with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil, a Lo-Pro Edge double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut and Gotoh tuning machines and Free-lock strap locks.

The RG-METAL1 was produced only in 1997 in limited numbers.
