Revision as of 16:02, 6 September 2020
The RD707 was a four-string Roadbass series solid-body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez in 1988. It was made in Japan. Roadbass series bodies evolved since the previous year. The square profile with hard edge and pointy headstock are roughly shaped after an introduced year earlier RG series.
The RD707 features 3 piece maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard and dot inlays bolted-on to a Basswood body. Components include a P50 and J50 pickups and an Accu-cast BII bridge.
The RD606 and RD808LE are similar models with different pickup configurations. RD727 is basically the same model with Sharktooth inlays. RB707E is a predecessor to RD707 with slightly different and more rounded body shape.
