The RB999 is a "Deluxe" edition Roadstar II Bass series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 1984. It was produced in Japan by FujiGen.
The RB999 features a double-cutaway alder body with crystal cut and arched top bolted to a maple neck with a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot position marker, side dots and a matching headstock. Components include Super passive pickup's, an Accu-cast B II bridge with 19mm string spacing, a plastic nut, Ibanez Smooth Tuner BII tuning machines and Ibanez "Dead End" strap buttons.
The RB820 is a related model with chrome hardware. The RB888 is related model with flat top.
