The RB861 is a fret-less Roadstar II Bass series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 1987. It was produced in Japan.

The RB861 features a double-cutaway basswood body with arched top bolted to a maple neck with a fret-less rosewood fingerboard with off-set dot position markers, side dots and a matching headstock. Components include a pair of Ibanez LO-B low impedance pickup's with a EQ-BII preamp, an Ibanez Accu-cast BII bridge with 19mm string spacing, a graphite nut and Ibanez Smooth Tuner BII tuning machines.

The RB860 is a related fret-less model. The RB851 is a related fretted version.

The RB861 was only offered in 1987.
