The RB851 is a Roadstar II Bass series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 1987. It was produced in Japan by FujiGen. It is also know as the RB851D
The RB851 features a double-cutaway basswood body with arched top bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers, side dots and a matching headstock. Components include a pair of Ibanez LO-B active "regulated low impedance" pickup's with a EQ-BII preamp, an Ibanez Accu-cast BII bridge with 19mm string spacing, a graphite nut and Ibanez Smooth Tuner BII tuning machines.
