The RB707E was a four-string Roadbass series solid-body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 1987. It was produced in Japan.
It was one of the two Roadbass body varieties avaialble for 1987. This one evolved into the RD series, like the RD707. The second was more rounded and evolved into the Soundgear series example: SR1000E.
The pointy headstock is similar to the one introduced the same year for the RG series.
The RB707E features a double-cutaway basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers. Components include a P50 and HI-B pickups, an Accu-cast BII bridge, black hardware and gotoh machuine heads.
The RB808 and RB808LE are parallel models from the RB series with more rounded bodies and different neck profile. In 1987 the series changed the prefix to RD and was re-modelled after highly-popular RG series with harder body-edges and more aggressive look.
