The RAR1 is an Artist series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2004. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the Prestige line. These were a spot model which were sold exclusively through the Rock Inn retail chain in Japan.
The RAR1 features a sandwich body construction with a sapele burl top, a mahogany back and a hard maple layer between. This body is mated to a set-in maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and pearl and abalone block position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez Super 58 humbucking pickups with gold cover mounted in ivory plastic pickup rings and with individual volume and tone controls and a pair of Tri-sound switches, a Gibraltar II fixed bridge with a Quik Change tailpiece with cloud ornament, a bone nut, and Gotoh tuning machines.
The AR3000 is a related regular production model with a flamed maple top.
