The R400 is a Ragtime series acoustic guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1979. It was produced in Japan.
The R400 features a ragtime body with soft florentine cutaway spruce top with black and white binding on arched mahogany back and mahogany sides. The oval soundhole has a rosewood/ black nad white purfling rosette. The mahogany neck with adjustable truss rod has a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers, white binding and black side dots. Components include a tru-tune saddle in an adjustable rosewood bridge with white bridge pins, a bone nut, and chrome Die-cast machines heads.
The R460 is a similar model with gold die-cast machine heads. The R620S is a similar model with solid spruce top and rosewood back.
