The PS1DM is a solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2018. It is a signature model of guitarist Paul Stanley of the American hard rock band KISS. The PS1DM was built in Japan by Sugi.
The most striking visual feature of the PS1DM is the bejeweled top made up of over 1400 rhinestones. It features the iconic Ibanez Iceman body style.
The PS1DM features a maple top with cream binding on a mahogany body mated to a set-in neck with a smooth heel and a 22-fret ebony fingerboard with cream binding and acrylic and abalone split block position markers. Components include a Gibraltar fixed bridge with a sustain block embedded in the body and a separate tailpiece with an aluminum ornament, a pair of Seymour Duncan humbucking pickups with individual volume controls, a bone & brass nut, Sure Grip II knobs and Gotoh tuning machines.
The PS1CM is a similar model with a cracked mirror top.
The PS1DM was initially produced only in 2018 with a total quantity of 49 pieces. It was made available again in Japan only from 2021. It was discontinued once more after 2022.
