Features of the PRM1X include a mahogany body with flamed maple top, a Wizard Prestige neck, DiMarzio pickups, a double locking tremolo that has L.R. Baggs active piezo pickup saddles for acoustic-like sound. The magnetic pickup volume knob is placed lower on the guitar body because it was getting the way of Rondat's right hand in the standard location.
The PRM1X was produced only in 2007 and in limited quantities. As few as 30 examples were produced. The PRM1X was offered only in Sapphire Blue finish although Patrick Rondat has been seen with a red version which is perhaps a pre-production or custom model.
