The PNB14E is a Performance series acoustic/ electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2018. It is made in Indonesia.
The PNB14E features a parlor body constructed of a laminated mahogany (or African mahogany, depending on market) top, back, and sides with an open pore finish. The round soundhole has a black and white acrylic rosette. The mahogany neck joins the body at the 12th fret and has an 18-fret laurel fingerboard with binding and small white dot position markers. Components include a compensated plastic saddle in a laurel bridge with black plastic bridge pins, a plastic nut, and chrome Ibanez tuning machines.
The PNB14E's electronics consist of an Ibanez under saddle pickup connected to an AEQ2T preamp with on-board tuner powered by a 9V battery and feeding a ¼" stereo output jack.
For 2019, the top, back and sides were replaced with okoume and the neck was replaced with maple. For 2021 the body length was increased very slightly.
