The PN12MHE is a Performance series acoustic guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2020. It is produced in China.
The PN12MHE features a parlor body contructed of laminated okoume top, back, and sides with an open pore finish. The round soundhole has a black and white acrylic rosette and a red tortoise pickguard. The nyatoh neck joins the body at the 12th fret and has an 18-fret laurel fingerboard with small white dot position markers. Components include a compensated plastic saddle in a laurel bridge with black Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a plastic nut, and chrome Ibanez tuning machines with butterbean buttons.
The PN12MHE's electronics consist of an Ibanez under saddle pickup connected to an AEQ2T preamp with on-board tuner powered by a 9V battery and feeding a ¼" stereo output jack.
The body length was very slightly increased for 2024.
The PN12E is a similar model with a mahogany or sapele body with a high gloss finish.
The PN12MHE was discontinued after 2024 in all markets except Japan.
