2013 PIB2 PW
PIB2 Pearl White Red copyright sprite

The PIB2 is a five string solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2011. It is a signature model for Swedish bassist Peter Iwers. It was produced in Indonesia, replacing the PIB1.

The PIB2 features a Soundgear series double-cutaway maple body with a pearl white finish with a striking signature graphic overlay. This body is bolted to a maple and bubinga neck with a 24 fret rosewood fingerboard with offset dot position markers starting at the twelfth fret. Components include a pair of Bartolini Custom passive humbucking bass pickups with a VM-3 HQ preamp, a set of individually mounted Mono-rail IV bridges with a 16.5mm string spacing, a plastic nut and Gotoh tuners. The only control is a single volume.

The PIB2 was discontinued after 2013 and replaced by the PIB3
