The PGMFRM2 is a PGM series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2009. It is a signature model of American guitarist Paul Gilbert. It is also known as the Fireman. It was an extremely limited production model crafted by Sugi in Japan.

The PGMFRM2 represents a completely new design not related to previous PGM models. It was modeled after a guitar produced at Gilbert's direction by Hoshino's Los Angelese Custom Shop (LACS). It was introduced along with the PGMFRM1 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Gilbert's first Ibanez signature model.

Paul Gilbert designed the guitar by reversing the original Iceman body shape and adding a cutaway.[1] The design was originally known as the 'Reverse Iceman', until a fan suggested the 'Fireman' (i.e. the opposite of an Iceman) moniker after seeing the guitar in a video Paul Gilbert posted on the internet.[2]

The PGMFRM2 features a cherry top on a mahogany body mated to a set-in mahogany and bubinga neck with a thick "U" profile, a smooth heel, and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers. Components include a pair of DiMarzio Air Classic humbucking pickups with chrome covers mounted in black plastic pickup rings, a TOM-style Gibraltar II bridge with Quik Change II tailpiece, Gotoh tuning machines, and black knobs.

The PGMFRM1 is another limited-edition Fireman model with a korina body and three single coil pickups which was introduced concurrently.

Only five examples of this model were produced[3] making it among the smallest production runs Ibanez has ever done. It was sold only in Japan and was offered only in 2009.
