The PF12MH features a dreadnought body with a laminated mahogany top on mahogany back and sides with an open pore finish. The round soundhole has a tortoiseshell rosette and a red tortoise pickguard. The mahogany neck has a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with small white dot position markers. Components include a compensated plastic saddle in a rosewood bridge with black Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a plastic nut, and chrome Ibanez tuning machines.
For 2017 open gear tuners were substituted for die-cast models. For 2018 the top, back and sides were replaced with sapele and the rosewood fretboard and bridge were replaced with nandu wood. For 2019 the neck was changed from mahogany to nyatoh.
The PF12MHCE is a similar acoustic/ electric model with a cutaway. The PC12MH is a related models with a grand concert body. The PF15 and PF10 are related models with spruce tops and slightly different components. The PF2MH is a similar ¾-sized model.
