The PA300E is an acoustic/electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in mid-2021 as part of the new PA series. It is produced in China as part of the new Platinum Collection.
The PA300E features a solid German spruce top on pau ferro back and sides, yielding punchy treble, robust midrange, and woody low end. A gorgeous African mahogany and pau ferro neck with Macassar ebony fingerboard offers impeccable response and play-ability whether you're fingerpicking or flatpicking.
To ensure that the six strings on the long scale of 655mm (25¾") intonate cleanly, the manufacturer relies on a high-quality jewel layer and a 45 mm wide nut made of bone. Furthermore, the chrome-plated die-cast tuners with an 18:1 ratio allow for precise tuning. The top wood is edged with a fine maple binding, which creates a tasteful transition to the dark wood of the body. A specially designed soundhole rosette and the top wood bridge made of Macassar ebony round off the modern appearance in a very harmonious way.
The heart of the Ibanez PA300E is undoubtedly the in-house pickup system. Three pickup types (magnetic, undersaddle and contact) provide an unadulterated amplified sound, which does justice to the natural tone of the guitar above all. The pickups can be individually adjusted and tuned to each other via the side preamp. In addition, the signal can be passed on to the amplifier in mono or stereo.
For 2022 the body length was slightly increased.
The PA230E is a related model with a solid cedar top on okoume back and sides.
