The Musician series (or MC series) is a line of electric guitars and basses produced for Hoshino Gakki and sold under the Ibanez brand. The first Musician models were introduced for 1978. It was among the first series of original models by Ibanez. Prior to the 1970s Ibanez was mainly focused on producing copies of guitars designed by other manufacturers such as Fender and Gibson.
The Musician series was discontinued after 1982. A reissue was offered in the mid-1990s.
