  • Hi Bram, any advice on an RT 560. Hoping to pick up good red one in the next few days. Regards, Brad

    • Hey Ozzy,

Bram's long since ghosted unfortunately, so you're not likely to get an answer from him here.

I've never heard of an RT560. Do you mean an RT650? Or an RG560?

    • Hey K,

Thanks for getting back to me. Sorry about the dyslexia, yeah the guitar is an RT650 with the transparent red gravure top. Hope that helps and look forward to your reply.

      Cheers, Brad

    • The RT650 is one of my favorites. I've got a green one that I plan on holding on to for a long time. The Viper neck feels great to me and I appreciate the simplicity of the synchronized trem as I'm not a huge whammy guy.

The stock trem is fine, but nothing special. Mine didn't come with a trem arm, so rather than track one of those down, I replaced it with a Wilkinson trem. I like the looks of the Wilkinson better, but I'm pretty sure its not a big upgrade in terms of functionality.

The V7/V8 pickups are solid stock pickups, although I've replaced mine with Duncans.

If the guitar feels good to you (particularly the neck) and it's in good shape, you really can't go wrong. Good condition RTs are getting harder and harder to come by and that's reflected in the prices they're going for.

      Good luck.  \m/ DeeJayKTalk! 12:52, June 27, 2018 (UTC)
