The MWM10 is a solid body electric guitar produced by Ibanez. It is a signature model of Maik Weichert, guitarist for the German extreme metal band Heaven Shall Burn. It was released in 2015 as an exclusive model for the online store Impericon.de.
The MWM10 is based on the S series body but with a number of unique features. It has a quilted maple top on a mahogany body bolted to a laminated maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and white wedge sharktooth position markers. Components include a pair of EMG active humbucking pickups, a Gibraltar Standard II fixed bridge, a plastic nut and Ibanez tuning machines.
A first run of only 30 examples was produced. Each of these was signed on the cavity plate by Maik Weichert, and came with a signed certificate of authenticity indicating the production number. A second run of 42 was produced in the second half of 2015. These came without a certificate of authenticity, but did include a signed cavity plate. This second run was exclusive to Germany.
All guitars came from the factory tuned to Drop C and strung with D'Addario EXL148 (12-60) strings.
The MWM10 was offered only in 2015.
