The MRG500 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1995. It is a spot model which was produced exclusively for the Kurosawa Gakki retail chain in Japan. The MRG500 was produced in Japan by FujiGen.
The MRG500 features a basswood body with a quilted maple top bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with offset dot position markers. Components include Ibanez pickups with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil and a double locking tremolo bridge.
