The MRG5, also known as the MRG5QMG, is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2004. It is a spot model which was produced exclusively for the Kurosawa Gakki retail chain in Japan as part of the high end J Custom line.

The MRG5 features a mahogany body with a quilted maple top bolted to a maple and bubinga neck with a 24-fret flame maple bound ebony fingerboard with Tree of Life inlays. Components include DiMarzio pickups with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil, an Edge Pro double locking tremolo bridge and Gotoh tuning machines.

The MRG4 is a related model with a pickguard and dot fretboard inlays.

The MRG5 was produced only in 2004.
