The MRG14 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2012. It is a spot model made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the high end J Custom line. It was offered exclusively for sale through Kurosawa Gakki stores in Japan.
The MRG14 features a AAA North American flamed maple top on a chambered African mahogany body bolted to a titanium reinforced maple and walnut neck with Velvetouch finish and 24-fret selected rosewood fingerboard with abalone dot position markers. Components include a DiMarzio pickups mounted in a white pearloid pickguard with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil, an Edge Zero double locking tremolo bridge with a removable ZPS3 tuning stabilizer and Gotoh tuning machines.
The MRG15 is a related model without the pickguard and the middle pickup and with Tree of Life fretboard inlays.
