The MRC10 is an acoustic-electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in late 2022. It is the first signature acoustic model offered by Ibanez for Polish percussive, fingerstyle guitarist and composer Marcin Patrzalek, who is known simply as Marcin. It is produced in Indonesia.
The MRC10 features a AE acoustic body with a Venetian cutaway constructed of a solid Sitka spruce top with X-M Bracing and a reinforcing wood plate for body tapping on pau ferro back and sides with pearloid binding on both the top and back. The top and both feature pau ferro binding. The body is mated to a nyatoh Comfort Grip neck with a Macassar ebony fingerboard with rounded edges and specially designed mother of pearl position markers. The top has a round sound hole with a wooden and mother of pearl rosette and a thick Sitka spruce scratch pad which covers the entire lower "horn" and provides an alternative tone for tapping. Components consist of a compensated bone saddle in a Macassar ebony bridge, a 44mm wide bone nut, and chrome Gotoh tuning machines.
Electronics consist of a Fishman soundhole and mic combo pickup with a Fishman preamp that allows the player to blend the two sources feeding a ¼" endpin output jack. The active preamp is powered by two LR44 1.5V or a single 2L76 3V button cell.
