The MR500C Roadtour hard-shell case for many Ibanez solid-body guitars was introduced for 2017.
The MR500C is a rectangular-shaped hard-shell case with an exterior of molded ABS plastic. The clam-shell style case has a series of ridges running lengthwise molded into the top of the case with aluminum rim banding around the opening, three black latches with TSA-approved locks, and a molded plastic carrying handle. Molded "bumpers at the corners and along the long sides of the case allow it to stand on its side. The interior has a molded body and neck cavity to cradle the guitar snugly and securely. The interior is covered with plush gray polyester crushed velvet material. There are a variety of internal storage pockets for accessories, and an included ITC32 zippered tool case.
The MR500C accomodates nearly all Ibanez solid-body guitar models, including 7-string, 8-string, and 9-string guitars, long scale length models, and left-handed models.
The MRB500C is a similar case for solid-body electric bass guitars.
