The MDB1 is a solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2007. It is the initial signature model for American bassist Mike D'Antonio who is best known for his work with the metalcore band Killswitch Engage. It was made in South Korea.

The MDB1 is based on the SRX700. It features neck through body construction with light ash wings on a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with a seven pointed star logo at the twelfth fret. The body is a Soundgear shape with a medusa graphic on the face over a flat black finish. Components include a pair of Ibanez passive humbucking bass pickups with a low-impedence EQB2DX preamp and a single volume control, an Accu-cast fixed bridge, a plastic nut and Gotoh tuning machines.

The MDB1 was discontinued after 2008 and replaced by the similar Indonesian made MDB2.
