The MC888 is an Musician series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 1984. It was produced in Japan.

The MC888 features neck-through-body construction on ash attached to a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot position markers and a matching headstock. Components include an Accu-Cast B gold plated fixed bridge with brass, cylindrical saddles and 19mm string spacing, and a pair of Super (J5/P5) pickups, a plastic nut, Velve Tune B II tuning machines and gold hardware.

The MC888F is a similar fret-less model.

The MC888 was offered only in 1984.
