The MA1FM is an American Master series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1991. The American Master line features guitars that are completely handmade in the United States.[1]
The MA1FM features neck-thru-the-body construction with mahogany body wings and a flame maple top attached to a maple and purple heart Wizard neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. It has an HSH pickup configuration with DiMarzio humbuckers mounted in pickup rings at the bridge and neck flanking a single-coil. Components include an Edge double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut and Gotoh tuning machines.
The MA1FM and it's sibling with a quilted maple top, the MA1QM, replaced the MA2HSH, MA3HH and MA3HSH from the previous year. The configuration listed below is only the stock model. These guitars could be custom-ordered with a variety of pickup and fretboard configurations.
The MA1FM was discontinued after 1991 along with the entire American Master line.
