The M80M is an 8-string solid body electric guitar introduced by Ibanez in 2014. It's a signature model of Swedish guitarists Fredrik Thordendal and Mårten Hagström, known for their work with the progressive metal/ djent band Meshuggah. The M80M is produced in Indonesia as a more affordable version of the M8M. It is based on the RG series.
The M80M features an ash body bolted to a titanium reinforced maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with a 29.4" scales and no inlays. Components include an FX Edge III-8 fixed bridge and a single Lundgren M8P humbucking pickup.
For 2018 the rosewood fretboard was replaced with jatoba. For 2021 the rosewood fretboard returned.
