M342 Antique Violin (more images)

The M342 is a 12-string Maple series acoustic guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1978. It was crafted in Japan.

The M342 features a dreadnought body shape with a solid spruce top with ivory binding on flamed maple sides and back with a gloss finish. The soundhole is round with a simple black and white rosette and a red tortoise pickguard. It has a satin finished maple neck with a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers. Components include a plastic saddle in a rosewood bridge with black Ibanez bridge pins, a plastic nut, and gold covered tuning machines.

The M340 is a similar 6-strings model. The M312, M332 and M372 are related models.

The M342 was discontinued in 1982.
