The LB1 is an AZS series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2021. It is the first signature model produced by Ibanez for Brazilian guitarist Lari Basilio. It is produced in Japan by Fujigen as part of the upscale Prestige line.
The LB1 features an ash body bolted to an S-Tech roasted birdseye maple neck with a compound radius S-Tech roasted birdseye maple fingerboard with 22 stainless steel frets, mother of pearl dot position markers and Luminlay side dots. Components include custom Seymour Duncan pickups with a humbucker at the bridge and single-coils in the neck and middle positions, a Gotoh T1702B two-point synchronized tremolo bridge with brass saddles, a bone nut, an angled output jack and Gotoh locking tuning machines with height-adjustable posts.
The LB1 employs a dyna-MIX9 switching system (see diagram below) with an "Alter switch" toggle which allows the user to access nine distinct tones. The Alter switch allows the player to access two modes with the single coils connected in series creating a tone similar to a second humbucker.
A White finish was revealed at the NAMM show in April 2023. A new Black finish was revealed at the NAMM show in 2025.
