The LACS8 is a One-off model which is sold exclusively by select Ibanez music retailers.
The LACS8 - "GLEN" features neck-through-body construction with mahogany body and flamed maple top attached to a 3 piece maple and purpleheart neck, with rosewood fingerboard, 24 jumbo frets with silver dots and luminlay side dots inlays and a black headstock. Components are a DiMarzio PAF Pro™ Humbucking pickups on the neck, a DiMarzio True Velvet™ single coil pickup in the middle position and a DiMarzio Steve’s Special™ Humbucking pickups on the bridge position, a Lo-Pro Edge double locking tremolo bridge, cosmo black hardware, gotoh MB-500 machine heads and includes hardshell case & certificate of authenticity.
LACS8 - "GLEN" HISTORY
The American Master series was an extremely limited run of instruments produced from the late ‘80s to the early ‘90s that perfectly encapsulated the core foundations of Ibanez. As such, the team opted to include a little history while naming this axe “Glen,” short for Glendale California, where Master Luthier, Tak Hosono’s shop was located at the time, and it was the place many of the originals were built. This RG is one of three American Master series reproductions built for this special Ibanez anniversary project.
