The LACS6 "DALE" is an American Master series reissue Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2022. It was crafted by L. A. Custom Shop in California as part of the 50th anniversary of Ibanez’s US-based distributor Hoshino U.S.A. Inc.
The LACS6 is a One-off model which is sold exclusively by select Ibanez music retailers.
This SR model represents an authentic reproduction of the renowned American Master series from the late 80’s and early 90’s. As such, the team opted to include a little history while naming this axe, “Dale,” for the latter half of Glendale, California, where Master Luthier, Tak Hosono’s shop was located at the time, and it was the place many of the originals were built. The LA team sought to carry forward the key characteristics and historical elements of this acclaimed line in the form of a top-flight, hand-built bass guitar. Like its American Master predecessors the MAB4FM and the MAB4QM, this bass is imbued with the same refinements and attention to detail as any instrument originating from the legendary LA Custom Shop.
The American Master SR4 utilizes a vintage SR shape, rather than the more rounded contemporary style, adding to the nostalgic vibe of this exceptional bass.
The LACS6 - "DALE" features neck-through-body construction with double cutaway mahogany body attached to a 3 piece maple and purpleheart neck, rosewood fingerboard with 24 frets, with Mother of Pearl dots and Luminlay side dots inlays, and a black headstock , Components are a Nordstrand NJ4SE-b® pickups on the neck position and a the Nordstrand NJ4a® pickups on the bridge position, controls are Volume with Push-Pull for Active Passive/Blend/Bass/Mid/Mid Sweep/Treble , Vari-mid 3-band equalizer, Diecast 4 fixed bridge, cosmo black hardware and includes Hardshell Case & Certificate of Authenticity
