The KIKOSP is a solid body electric guitar introduced by Ibanez in 2015. It is a Signature guitar of Brazilian guitarist Kiko Loureiro of the metal bands Angra and Megadeth. The KIKOSP2 was produced in China.
The KIKOSP is a mass-market version of Loureiro's other signature guitars, the Prestige-level KIKO100 and the Premium-level KIKO10P. It is based on the S series although it has a thicker body with a flat back and special relief on the lower horn in the rear. The body is poplar with an art grain stimulated flame top. The output jack is located on the side of the guitar rather than on the face like a typical S series guitar or a tilt-in placement like the more expensive KIKO models.
It has Ibanez Infinity R pickups with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil. The maple neck has a 24-fret fingerboard with offset dot position markers and a special inlay at the 12th fret. The bridge is a FAT6 non-locking, synchronized tremolo.
This model was available only in select markets, including Loureiro's native Brazil. It was replaced for 2016 with the KIKOSP2 which is similar but has a double locking tremolo.
