The Ibanez JTK2 is the second Jet King guitar model released by Ibanez. The model is based on old 'pawnshop' copy guitars from the seventies, the ones Ibanez also produced. The body shape resembles the one of Fender style off-set guitars such as the Jazzmaster and Jaguar. The first Jet King, the JTK1, featured an other body shape. The JTK2 body shape has been used for all other Jet King guitars.

Specifications

Switches

The guitar has a toggle switch for pickup selection and two extra up-down switches for splitting the humbuckers to make them sound more like singlecoils. The idea for the two switches also came from Ibanez seventies guitars, but back then they were used as on-off switches for the pickups.

Neck

The 2004 models have a 1-piece neck. In 2005 the JTK2 got a multi-piece neck like most Ibanez guitars.
