The JSA20 is a JSA series acoustic/electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2013. It is the flagship acoustic signature model for American guitarist Joe Satriani. It replaced the JSA10.
The JSA20 features a classic, thin-waisted body with a Florentine cutaway with a solid Englemann spruce top with abalone purfling and white binding and solid rosewood back and sides with a gloss finish. The soundhole is round with an abalone rosette. It has a satin-finished mahogany neck with a 20-fret ebony fingerboard with white binding and abalone dot position markers. The headstock features a reproduction of Satriani's signature. Components include an Graph Tech TUSQ saddle in an ebony bridge with Ibanez Advantage pins, a white Graph Tech TUSQ nut and chrome Grover tuning machines. Electronics consist of a Fishman Acoustic Matrix pickup connected to a Fishman Aura Pro preamp with Joe Satriani original preset sound, onboard tuner, a 9V battery and ¼" endpin output.
In 2017 the solid rosewood back and sides were replaced with pau ferro. For 2019 the mahogany neck was replaced with nyatoh. For 2021 the size of the body was changed slightly.
